We already have a #LongCovid hashtag! It's not the ASCO communities, it's the LC community. Hashtags that are needed *usually* emerge somewhere, but can be hard to find. LC is a pretty obvious choice, but a lot of cancer survivorship concepts are not. We can discover, collect, share info.

Yes, that may not be a good thing, though. I think doctors need to take a hard look at how we use social media and see if we need to change our approach. I don’t think it’s working.

Thanks for the question! Part of it is simply that #lc could stand for many things, so the hashtag doesn’t have high fidelity for the topic of interest. It’s partly the uniqueness that makes it more valuable It is not intuitive, so slower to adopt use. There may be better ways, we can re-evaluate
