This man may actually be dumb as a rock, to the point I'm suspecting he's being intentionally obtuse. A child could tell you bigotry that's popular is still bigotry. being opposed to marriage quality in the 80's was just as bigoted as it is now.

Similar situation in SC. IIRC prior to the ban bill, there were like maybe 9 k-12 trans athletes, most of whom were trans boys on boys teams. our legislature made it a priority to make sure 9 kids couldn't play with their friends. it's sickening stuff really
