This shit makes me mega pissed off because we absolutely need to rid ourselves of Adobe but copying their homework using an LLM is not how you do that, that’s unsustainable for like five million reasons if you think about it for like two seconds.

This is why more women don't come forward, and why more rapists aren't jailed. Because mostly-male cops and prosecutors find it more believable that a 20-yr-old would want to have sex with a room full of fraternity brothers than accept she was raped. What ever happened to common fucking sense?

At my Christian school, we’d all read the books and had subs put the movies on, but there were less famous movies that were edgier and scarier versions we’d ask to watch. I’m sure I’ll never find those movies, but some of the scenes have been with me and my nightmares since 6th grade.

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."

Dolly Parton was an angel on earth. But the outpouring of grief over her death is also a primal scream that the most wretched, greedy, amoral men on earth are holding this country hostage with their wealth and corruption. Dolly was the antithesis to all that and we need her light more than ever.

Explore the space the Court leaves open here for an admin state independent of the President--& not only bc it's the path that remains. Yoking admin expertise to Congress would also re-establish the institution's democratic relevance, reconnecting our representative assembly w/those it represents.
At this point, all that is left of Humphrey’s is its observation that an agency that “exercises no part of the executive
power” need not fall within the rule of Presidential removal.
295 U. S., at 628; see Mistretta v. United States, 488 U. S.
361, 423–425, and n. 3 (1989) (Scalia, J., dissenting) (explaining that Humphrey’s stands only for the proposition
that there would be “no strict constitutional impediment to
a ‘branchless’ agency” that exercises “no governmental
power”). If Congress wishes to establish independent agencies to assist it with its functions, it may do so. Cf. Buckley,
424 U. S., at 137–138. But it may not foist those agencies
upon the President, and thus deprive him of “the executive
power vested [in him] by the Constitution”—something
Humphrey’s itself never purported to permit. Humphrey’s
Executor, 295 U. S., at 628.

Yes, Congress should be able to do these things. A court this contemptuous of Congress deserves to be packed by Congress, not only to correct these disastrous precedents but also because Congress needs to show both Article II and Article III who’s boss.
“On her view, Congress could commandeer the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Ser-vices, most (if not all) of the Department of Justice, and a number of other agencies besides. Indeed, if Slaughter were correct, then it is not clear why Congress would need to allow the President any say in firings at all”

this is absolutely wild. where does roberts think these agencies come from?!? who invested them with authority to act? whose mandate are they designed to execute? the president is the chief EXECUTive. his job is executing the will of Congress as it spells out in its duly-passed laws!

Slaughter belongs in the anti-canon, a decision so egregiously wrong it has zero precedential value and is self-discrediting. It is not a plausible reading of a constitutional ambiguity, it is constitutionalizing the structure of an autocracy.
