My favorite hyperspecific film genre is "two women are best friends and bond over taking out an absolutely wretched male abuser in the most gruesome way possible but the film is somehow still considered a chick flick. Also it was released in the 90's"

Fried Green Tomatoes (1991) its absolute savage how cannibalism is a major plot point of this but it still gives you the warm fuzzies and the im not crying your cryings

Practical Magic (1998) a classic with absolutely no sequel

Thelma & Louise (1991) did you know Ridley Scott directed this? I sure didnt.

Dolores Claiborne (1995) this is a super underrated film.
