9:49 PM -- Okay, snow is starting to actually accumulate beyond just dusting the ground. Husband says the roads are pretty rough but navigable. I wouldn't call it blizzard but it's supposed to get much much worse after 10. I'll be staying up til husband makes it home safe, but he gets off at 2.

The Coke box returns. Now it has an inch or two of snow on top of it, and the very bottom part of it is covered. The parked cars in the background have considerably more snow on them than previously.

It’s dark now. The soda box is still there, almost entirely visible, resting on a very small amount of snow in a yard.

4:51 PM -- snowmageddon (allegedly) begins I couldn't find a ruler so I grabbed a 12 pack, emptied out the rest of the cans, put something heavy in it, and set it down outside. Will continue to report.

An empty box that once held cans of Coke Zero Cherry soda is now sitting on its end on a snow-dusted yard. The snow doesn't even cover the dead plants yet.

Thinking about how much of my childhood was influenced by Canadian bands. Our Lady Peace and Barenaked Ladies were my jams in the 90s. I do keep thinking about moving to Canada these days. Hell, one of my best friends lives there. But I am poor and I also don't want to abandon ship just yet.

Day 5 post-op: No longer need to wear a dressing on my ear. Hearing still super muffled. Still dizzy sometimes and still VERY mad that I did not get to see my fucked up ear bone!!! I even ASKED!

Apparently I need to eat more food while I'm healing. I used to be very good at eating more food. Now I am very bad at eating more food, with my diabetes and ADHD both properly medicated. So I basically have to force myself to eat every 4 hours so I don't get dizzy while I heal post-op.

I can hear myself speaking in my right ear this morning, though it’s still plugged with surgical packing (and will be for a few weeks). This is still huge!!!

Earlier I plugged my left ear and turned my right ear to the PC speaker. It’s muffled with all the post surgical stuff in my ear, but I heard the speech well enough to understand it. This is huge for me.

Survived the surgery just fine. Been home for about two hours actually but I spent them sleeping off the rest of the anesthesia. My ear doesn’t feel fantastic but it’s not particularly bad compared to some of the shit I’ve been through.

The last surgery I had was my hysterectomy in 2017. I woke up post-op and told the ICU nurse I had to pee. She said I had a bedpan. I slurred out the words "I still have my fucking dignity" and passed out again. Friends, I did not, in fact, have my fucking dignity.
