Stan Fresh @stan-fresh.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Mostly enjoyed #ZeroCompany. The tactical gameplay and the narrative bits at the HQ were all solid, but it really feels like 2/3s of a game. The systems and the narrative imply a longer game than it actually is. Easy to speculate about why that is, with the news about the studio's financial trouble. 000
Reposted by Stan FreshDennis Detwiller @drgonzo123.bsky.social · 12/09/2026The issue I see most in #TTRPGs is that few assume ordinary people are constrained by violence. If a 6th-level character can shrug off a 5 crossbow hits, violence loses meaning. Choices lose weight, consequences blur, and the game becomes floaty. This floatiness is often blamed on scenario content.static.klipy.comPerson Under Arrow AttackALT: Person Under Arrow Attack 1411219

Stan Fresh @stan-fresh.bsky.social · 14/05/2026I wonder if the #TTRPG dynamic where shitty players will bully someone in their group who is afraid of losing access to the party and so puts up with it is similar. That person tries to solve their situation by fine-tuning RPG rules to protect themselves, but that of course doesn't work. 100
