Demond Williams hard-launching, trying to get out of his contract during the funeral for a Washington soccer player, to me is just one of those things, unless he's a generational talent, you just have to tell him, "Hit the bricks," because of that. Even though it wasn't intentional

the rise of ActBlue and small-dollar Democratic giving fundamentally did more than anyone could have imagined to blunt the impact of Citizens United and its progeny. like they are a historically important company.

It's hard when the truth serum answer is "nobody who lives in South Williamsburg wants the bike lane and no politician in that area is willing to overrule them"

What I found: the Dem numbers in New York City actually look pretty good! Harris was D+38 in 2024, NYC is D+49 in the 2026 Generic Ballot. The issue lies in the rest of New York. Suburbs were even in 2024, D+4 here, and upstate is R+6, when in 2024 it was even.

🧵After all is said and done when we look back at 2026, the story of the election was Republicans starting a domestic war on two fronts, and by doing so they were unable to provide enough resources to stop the bleeding on either side, leading to a complete collapse akin to the loss of 2 Blue Walls.

Sometimes I think I was too quick to tell my people "from a DSA point of view, I think Peña and Bichotte Hermelyn would be the same chair". And then I see this tweet and I feel vindicated

if AOC is not in the Oval Office in 2029 then she is either the frontrunner to challenge Gillibrand for Senate or Hochul for Governor in 2030, both of which I think are easier than conventional wisdom thinks

1. I appreciate the author's honesty in laying everything out here, I'll remember this article for a while 2. if my mother had the same approach to me as the author had to her daughter, at minimum I wouldn't be talented enough to be where I am personally/politically today, at maximum I'd be homeless

one facet of 2020 that I wish more people would say is, according to most if not all primary polls so far: - Kamala is the number one left candidate. - AOC is the number two left candidate. - Newsom is the number one moderate candidate. - Pete is the number two moderate candidate.

I would like to note that Rashida Tlaib, who I think we would all agree is one of the legendary anti-Zionists in American history, voted for Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker 15 straight times in January 2023, 4 straight times in October 2023, and once in January 2025

The Zohran Mamdani 2025 campaign completely revitalized NYC-DSA and his major innovation wasn't even getting non-voters to vote, it's getting Hillary/Biden/Kamala voters to vote in local elections
