i've been really enjoying this

The changes to interests, influence and the navy are so good in Victoria 3 1.13. Spending influence to get a foothold of an interest in an area then sending my navy on a few years assignment to allow me to support independence on a minor power is so mechanically good and flavorful.

I can't imagine how crazy it was for little Japanese kids back in 2000 to have their new superhero show introduced the main guy by having him monologue about being scared of dying as a child, leaning over and looking right at the child-height camera, and basically saying "things will be okay."
