Colonel Saunders has been staring at me all morning. Mr bought zinger flavour crisps. I am not even going to try them as I hate chicken crisps. He has now tried them and said spicy and chickeny but nothing like a zinger. I am still not wanting to eat one.

Truth
First rule of family gatherings, always bring your own vehicle so you can leave when you want. This stolen meme features a white dude with some mid brown facial hair turning sideways to look into the camera, giving a thumbs up. He is seated in the driver's seat of a dark coloured car looking out the 2/3rds open side window.

Reminder that Klingons say TRANS RIGHTS BRING HONOR TO YOUR HOUSE
DS9 scene: Kor, a Klingon, greets Dax as Curzon. Dax corrects him as the host is now in Jadzia, a Trill female. Cor immediately responds, "Jadzia, my beloved old friend" without missing a beat.

Right: Two tweets from 2019: "This Pride Month, never forget that Klingons had trans rights"; "No hostility, no confusion, no clumsy excuse-filled justification, just a quick self-correction and the exact same amount of love and respect before and after. Cis allies: Be like Kor."

It begins: - dandelion season - camping season
A low down close up colour photograph of a field of lush green lawn grass. On the left is a bright yellow dandelion flower. On the far horizon, still in the field, is a blue tent and a red boxy car. They are very blurry at that distance in this camera view.
Surrounding the field are trees and bushes just turning green with budding leaves. The sky is pale blue with lots of white fluffy clouds.

My cartoon for this week’s @newscientist.com
Two scientists look at a monitor attached to a large apparatus consisting of pipes, tanks, vessels and hoses.

The first scientist says
"I don't get it. The reaction is running perfectly, but we can't account for 7% of the heat."

The other says
"Have you Asked the Professor?"

The first replies
"We're not supposed To disturb him when He's in his office."

On the other side of the apparatus, one of the pipes goes through a wall into another room where it warms the water for a hot tub in which the professor relaxes.

A reminder that if you live in England or Wales & were born between 1970-1990 – or even before 1970 – you can help protect your community by getting the MMR vaccine free from your NHS GP now. I did last year. www.nhs.uk/vaccinations...
Who should have the MMR vaccine

The MMR vaccine is recommended for adults and children born on or before 31 December 2019 who did not have the MMR vaccine when they were younger.

It's especially important to make sure you're vaccinated if:

you're a child, teenager or young adult
you could become pregnant
you're travelling to, or living in, a country where there is a higher risk of getting measles, mumps or rubella
you're a healthcare worker
you were born between 1970 and 1990 (as you may not have been vaccinated against all 3 infections)
Your GP surgery should be able to tell you which vaccinations you've already had.

If you were born before 1970 and have not had measles, mumps or rubella (german measles) or the vaccines that protect against these diseases, you can ask your GP surgery for the MMR vaccine.
