Threw together a very quick video about SPRU (or more specifically, showing off the minis I got), will pop that up on patreon later and will go public later this week.

Legit, I always love it when not only is art for something like this credited properly, but also made available at high res and without branding all over it. Allows you to properly appreciate the work the artists have done as art rather than purely in the context of promotional material.

I do find it fascinating that the made to order Warhammer stuff gets priced in a way that bucks the trend of re-releases for most things. Usually a re-release is *much cheaper* than buying a used original one, since their prices haven’t been inflated by their rarity on the secondary market.

One fun thing about making stuff for other people's consumption is looking up words you just used to make sure you're using it correctly or if you've been wrong your entire life and everyone was too polite to point it out. Today's word was 'substantive'. Thankfully I had been using it correctly.

Just looking though old White Dwarf issues and am mildly fascinated by this otherwise pretty clean and crisp land raider that was painted with a part of it leaking and alarming amount of black ooze in a very localised way. It just looks very odd.

a catalogue entry for the original Warhammer 40,000 Land Raider miniature.

A close up on one part of it that is painted to show it leaking a black liquid.

once again the actual "story" behind Tilly Norwood is how the company's PR firm continues to get these stories placed in ostensibly legit outlets over and over despite zero demonstration of the supposed phenomenon being written about ("AI movie star Tilly Norwood") being real

I had written a big follow-up to my thread earlier but I realised that good lord was I wasting far too much time talking about something that nebulously annoys me. I love 40k but the modern game just has different priorities to the version of the game I like the best. That's kinda the whole thing.

This is a thing I've long thought about. So much of what GW does with Warhammer is to make for a balanced and happy tournament scene at the expense of casual play. But the vast majority of players will rarely, if ever, take part in that.

I'm just gonna put it out there: Hasbro, I will voice Bumblebee for half of what you paid this guy. I'm not a good voice actor, no, but you also won't need to awkwardly fire me in a few months once people start combing through the shit I've said in podcasts.

Not my most controversial opinion but Game Boy Tetris really does hold up, even if you’re playing on a Game Boy with a sliiiiighty wonky d-pad. I was just booting this up to test it and ended up just playing it for a while.

I was wondering how different the views would be now YouTube is counting them differently... and yeah, that's a bit of a jump. Fortunately I am a simple creature and choose to not think too deeply about this as I can't really do anything about it. Number bigger. Sure, good.

Youtube video views showing the new video with significantly more views than all other recent ones ones. A note is at the top says "when comparing, keep in mind that views are now counted differently."
