I'm so happy that they knew their audience and included the authentic old dub with undubbed combat barks. It was extremely funny to see the credits list every single voice actor in both Chinese and Japanse but all the English cast is still completely uncredited sans the not-so-secret new character.

When someone finally writes the book on Trump's USA and the lengths his administration went to attack non-whites, domestically and globally, including sending detainees to third countries to be tortured (paid for with your tax money, btw) it'll line up 1:1 with the Nazis. No daylight in between

While "audiovisual content" is a bit vague, presumably this refers to the film itself, via home video, streaming, etc. International merchandising rights (toys, comics, video games, etc.) for Macross: Do You Remember Love? are likely still held by Tatsunoko who license those rights to Harmony Gold.

God Sigma has long been a favorite of mine out of the sheer gumption it has. It has some nifty ideas, and while its ambition often is outstripped by its budget, it's got the heart for sure. It sticks with you.

051

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

I'm really happy I gave it a shot and stuck with it, you never know what can surprise you. God Sigma is big and strong and real and he is my friend.

051

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

I never thought I'd be a big fan, but I ended up having a big soft spot for it. For my money's worth, it's at least better than Reideen the Brave, even if that show often looks much better on average and has a much more prestigious pedigree.

240

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

That's a wrap on God Sigma! It's not out here blowing anyone's minds, but I was really impressed by its growth as a program. From its uneven beginnings, it managed to put together a compelling drama that even in rare moments managed to reach the highs of a good Robot Romance Trilogy episode.

Visiting the graves of his father and Terral, Toshiya imagines what they might have said to him now that Io is saved. He then forgoes visiting his friends, busy rebuilding Io, in order to take the restored God Sigma to the year 2300 to keep his promise to Terral, vowing to save Elda.

Toshiya visits Terral's grave.

"Thank you," a vision of Terral tells him. "I pray that you can bring peace into the future."

An image of Toshiya appears in the vast cosmos.

["Toshiya Dan. 18 years old.] His journey to the year 2300 has just begun."

["This is the story of a man] who loves space, believes in the future, and fights for peace above all else."

160

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! There is nothing better than a bastard like Gagan getting to die like a dog, hoo that's good.

Gagan stumbles forward after Toshiya shoots him twice in the torso, reaching out for him.

And shoots Gagan right through the forehead.

290

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

"For the sake of peace, I'm going to kill you!" goes crazyyyyyyy

Toshiya moves forward unphased by Gagan's multiple attempts to shoot him.

"This gun contains the rage of all our friends and family from Io and Earth..."

"...that you called 'worms' as you murdered them!"

Steeling himself, Toshiya spits out "For the sake of peace, I'm going to kill you!"

1123

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Now there's a death. That's the kind of tragedy I was hoping for babeyyyyyy

Toshiya kneels over Terral, who just barely manages to choke out his last words.

"You are the only one... who can save Elda now..."

Pointing, he explains "That... is the entrance to the timeship... It will take you to the year 2300..."

Toshiya grasps Terral's pointing hand with both of his.

"Okay! Don't say another word!"

"Please save Elda..." Terral begs, his expression softening in his final moments.

"Save... my home..."

The light of his life flickers out.

170

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

However, Gagan, gun still in hand, delivers the killing shot to Terral.

Gagan slowly moves the gun in hand to Terral's torso.

Terral begins bleeding profusely from the mouth, already having lost blood from his three prior gun wounds.

120

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Just when they take heavy hits and have their guns shot out of their hands, the Trinity Base troops lead by Rie bring the Cosmofactory remnant forces in to even the odds. Using the same move Galgoth pulled on God Sigma, Terral pulls Gagan's footing out from under him, allowing Toshiya to shoot.

Terral, bleeding out on the floor, lunges for Gagan's ankle, grasping it tightly.

"Toshiya, now!" he shouts.

A laser blast pierces Gagan through his upper torso and makes a hole right through his cape as he drops to the floor, spurting blood.

Terral then topples Gagan and begins to strangle him.

130

Em-vira, Mistress of the Dark @spacequeenemily.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Gagan shoots Terral again and again as Terral defiantly refuses to budge an inch until the commercial break, which allows the perspective to shift to the now former God Sigma pilots storming Gagan's heavily reinforced base. Julie and Kiraken hold against heavy fire to allow Toshiya to move forward.
