90% of the people I marched by at the parade thought this was an elephant, 10% said whale, and only my heart knew it was a horned beetle. On the way back to the car I found these banana leaves for a small photo shoot. Yeah yeah, it does look like an elephant.

The fact that Netflix only licensed one (admittedly, somewhat impenetrable) season of Pili internationally and then dropped it is a massive shame. At least we got all of Thunderbolt Fantasy over at Crunchyroll…

one question of the survey, with 9 checkbox options:

What concerns, if any, do you have about AI-assisted manga translations? (Select all that apply.)
*
1. Lower overall quality
2. Loss of respect for readers
3. Loss of respect for creators
4. Character personalities changing
5. Cultural references being mistranslated
6. Less work for human translators
7. Ethical concerns
8. Legal concerns
Other: (I typed in: environmental concerns, worse than a fresh human translation)

Scenes such as this where the light is reflecting on the water are accomplished through a process called "backlighting", "underlighting" or "bipack glow". To create the effect a matte is cut and light is shone through the holes.
