When asked what their favorite Hunter x Hunter character is, many Japanese fans will name some random guy like Johness the Dissector, although they want to say Hisoka or Illumi, because they don't want to sound like someone who watches Hunter x Hunter 2011.

The final issue of GAME FREAK zine from 2004, produced by the company that had started off life as an arcade game tips zine in the early 80s, to commemorate 15 years since the founding of the company. The previous issue had been released in 1999 following a 12-year gap as they focused on game dev.

The cover of GAME FREAK 25, subtitled the special magazine of video game freak.

It's a simple black and white zine on pale green paper, and has an illustration of a girl in a school uniform holding up a controller, and various Pokémon, including Pikachu falling in the air and holding onto a sword.

vonMandelbrot's literature thread: Zero no Tsukaima. This is my first time engaging with the series past episode 1 of the anime. Released in 2004, this isekai fantasy gave birth to the Kugimiya-type tsundere character and (arguably) established the blue tracksuit jacket as the uniform of its genre.
