SocArXiv now has a limit of two papers per week. If authors submit more than that we assume they are LLM-generated and reject them all. Normal humans who need to upload a batch of papers, which sometimes happens, must make arrangements. Also today, ArXiv set a two papers per month limit.

Important news from our host, COS. Starting in November SocArXiv users will no longer be able to create new OSF Projects. You will need to host research materials in another repository, such as Zenodo, and link out to them. Existing public projects will be preserved. Preprints service will continue.

This is misinformation, straight up. No one is *making* anyone pay APCs. Public access is required, and it can be achieved via self deposit in PubMed. Authors *choose* venues that discourage or attempt to restrict self deposit. They should stop doing so.
