Congratulations to Mara Marin, co-recipient of the Okin-Young Award in Feminist Political Theory for "Structural Responsibility," published in the APSR. buff.ly/5h6Z3JU
APSR abstract for "Structural Responsibility," by Mara Marin, The author argues current views of structural injustice wrongly treat structures as only constraining action. Drawing on Sewell, Haslanger, and Arendt, she proposes "structural responsibility": acting to disrupt unjust structures from within. Full abstract is available in linked article.

I'm sure psych is a much better discipline these days, but wild west psych (i.e. before 2000 or so) was wildly entertaining (this from 1999)
For exam ple, the conventional consent form described the potential risks as: `The participant(s) are to understand that if the task is not performed correctly, the participant runs the risk of being burned from a possible explosion’ and described the alternative activity as: `If the participant(s) does not want to participate in the experimental study under the speci® ed conditions, there is the option of participating in a card sorting experiment without penalty or loss of bene® t’ .

CLARITY Act loses--Moderate Dems, even ones who worked on and championed the bill like Gillibrand, voted against it. A strong signal that moderate Dems are more vulnerable to progressives (in the case of crypto, led by Warren) than big crypto PAC money. Seems like a big deal.
