I'm replaying Silent Hill f this month and eventually I want to get all of the endings. The first time I was kind of mixed because I liked the characters, environment and story, but the weapons degraded too quickly imo. They have since patched it, and I'm enjoying this playthrough a lot more.

I treated myself to a Superstation One, and overall I like it, but it was nowhere near the level of "plug and play" it was pitched as. There are a lot of steps to getting up and running and none of them are difficult, but if you're considering getting one, just know that it's a bit tedious to setup.

This is such a golden age of survival/psychological horror for both Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The new RE movie and SH Townfall dropping around the same time is awesome on its own, not to mention RE9 and Silent Hill f which were both great too.

I love Legacy of the Wizard on NES, and it was my first Metroidvania. As a kid I didn't like how long the passwords were, but now I can screenshot them, take a photo, or sometimes save a state from the password screen.

It feels like we're in a golden age of DS/3DS systems. There are a lot of people getting into the DS for the first time which is great to see, and we got aftermarket systems like the RGDS and Thor with more on the way. It's an exciting time for handhelds.

To me this is still one of the most intense boss fights in Metal Slug X. There is a constant sense of urgency as you juggle shooting down at it, while climbing as fast as possible so it doesn't eat you along with the tower. It also shoots missiles to dodge and has a massive laser blast.

I have a lot of gaming handhelds from when I used to do YouTube and I'm finally updating my game room to organize them better. I found a large set of cubbies with transparent doors that were made for sneakerheads, but it helps a lot to have each shelf dedicated to a single type of handheld.

I think we should treat taxes like stat penalties in RPGs only based on income instead of levels. After a certain point you get diminishing returns to the point where you could be a millionaire, but then you're taxed so heavily that it isn't worth becoming a billionaire.

There are a lot of exciting game announcements coming up, and I'm most excited about Capcom bringing the REmake trilogy to Switch 2. The idea of having Resident Evil 1-9 playable on Switch 2 makes me giddy. (1, 5, and the HD version of 4 being the Switch versions, but they are solid)

All day at work I've been thinking about playing Chu Chu Rocket! this weekend. I really like the puzzle mode, and the GBA version comes with a ridiculous amount of user created levels. They are a little hit and miss like Mario Maker, but when they hit, they can be pretty challenging and fun.

Based on the port of Banjo-Kazooie on the Super Pocket I believe it. Graphically it looks beautiful, but the controls are remapped in a way that works very well. It plays well too. I was expecting a blurry N64 version on an emulator, not a polished port. I wish other company were this involved.

I never played A Link to the Past on the SNES because I was a Genesis kid, but in college I got the GBA version for Christmas one year. I was thinking about it, and I haven't played through it since, and this afternoon I decided to add it to my rotation now that I've finished Arkham Asylum.

I remember importing the Wonderswan Evangelion game expecting something like Front Mission, but was then surprised to find out that it's like a Tamagotchi game. It seems like such a no-brainer to make a mech game too. The angels would make great bosses, there is so much potential!

I was watching some Bluerays on my PS3 because of the TV I have it hooked up to and I realized that I haven't played it in ages, but I love that generation. Maybe I'll just play PS3 games for a few months. There are a lot of games I want to revisit.

I just finished Arkham Asylum and while it has its flaws, overall it was a lot of fun and still holds up pretty well. It also makes me miss Kevin Conroy. Mark Hamill's Joker is so good too. They really breathed life into these characters and the game almost feels like a passion project.
