I had fun at Fanexpo Toronto! I went all 4 days this time and it was a bit tiring since I'm not a morning person LOL Sadly I didn't see any other Falcom cosplayers, and I don't think anyone recognized my Dogi cosplay either. Hopefully one day we can have a Falcom fan meetup somewhere at Toronto!

Good news! We had someone get us the Ys Online Private Server files! mega.nz/file/pOpW3QC... These files are modified client files that connect to a Chinese(?) server. Some folks have reported that it has been working well! Hopefully there'll be efforts to get the server text to be in English!

This year has seen the 1.x release of fan translations for two out of the three Taito-developed Ys games for PS2. I'm starting with the PS2 version of Ys III - that's Wanderers from Ys, _not_ The Oath in Felghana, although the latter released on Windows literally 3 months later. watch.cney.stream

Today July 21 is also the 37th anniversary of the original release for the game that takes place before Lost Kefin! (Ys 3) Wanderers from Ys is a really fun game! I also really love its remake Oath in Felghana! Definitely also give this game a try! The PS2 translation will be out soon. Thank you!

Wanderers from Ys PS2 has three different difficulties. (Easy, Normal, Hard) Besides enemies dealing more/less damage, the Ending text slightly changes too! One of the endings tell how this adventure was the most difficult for Adol. One says that Adol will continue to have more adventures.

For the folks that are wondering, I named my little Discord server (where I post updates on my projects and talk about Ys) after The Dandelion bar from Ys 9! I finally have an update on Ys IV Mask of the Sun: A New Theory! I successfully have all the files extracted and now rebuilt properly. Now work on figuring out the script formats and editing graphics can be done since we can rebuild the ISO in full. You'd think Ys 4 and 5 would be similar to hack
