And I'm saying like even the younger queer trekkies aren't really talking about this show that much which is insane because this might be the queerest Trek show (sorry ds9) like I think all the fandom trekkies really did leave twitter for good now

Any of y'all watching Starfleet Academy here because trekkie oomfs on twitter are not 😔 I think a lot of people stopped giving new Trek a chance after SNW which is understandable but SFA is actually good. And I'm obsessed with Kelrec but no one cares on twitter- a few care on tumblr at least

uranus seen by the webb telescope

$An image with a black background. The planet Uranus is a glowing orb near the center surrounded by rings. The planet appears blue with a large, white patch taking up the right half. The patch is whitest at the center, then fades into blue at it expands from right to left. A thin outline of Uranus is also white. Around the planet is a system of nested rings. There are faint orange and off-white smudges, some oval, some circular, that are background galaxies scattered throughout the image. Several bright blue point sources closer to Uranus are the planet’s moons. There is also a bright star at the left of the field, with 8 diffraction spikes.$

The planet Uranus on a black background. The planet appears light blue with a large, white patch on the right side. On the edge of that patch at the upper left is a bright white spot. Another white spot is located on the left side of the planet at the 9 o’clock position. Around the planet is a system of nested rings. The outermost ring is the brightest while the innermost ring is the faintest. Unlike Saturn’s horizontal rings, the rings of Uranus are vertical and so they appear to surround the planet.

At center is the planet Uranus, a blue globe with a large white spot occupying most of the planet. It’s surrounded by a series of rings that get brighter as you move outward. Beyond the rings are 14 moons appearing as points of light. The moons vary in brightness with the brightest, Miranda, just above 9 o'clock.

$The planet Uranus appears as a smooth, bright cyan disc at the center, its atmosphere reveals soft, hazy tones of blue. Surrounding the planet is a vivid reddish glow, forming a diffuse halo that contrasts strongly with the cool blue of the planetary disc. Encircling Uranus are several thin, concentric rings, visible as pale grey arcs. Subtle variations in brightness can be seen across the planet\u2019s face, with slightly brighter patches near the limb, hinting at atmospheric structure.$

when Spock does the neck pinch, even on bad guys, he always catches them and sets them down very politely. letting this guy fully just drop, leaving Jim to try to awkwardly scramble to catch him, is Vulcan for "it is always morally right to punch Nazis"

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall. They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+. Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them. I think about it a lot in moments like this.

Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.
