Seriously, why aren't any other law profs of liberal think tanks promoting articles and arguments like this? That the 14th S3 null and voids Trump's entire 2nd term including all pardons and appointments. www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2026/10/this...

I’m serious about this, really: (1) Donald Trump was not eligible to be elected president in 2024. This is because he was very obviously an insurrectionist and rebel, as per the third section of the 1...

A major structural hazard with extreme media ownership concentration is that oligarchs impose their ideological agendas--which almost always skew to the far right--on everyone. This capture of core info and communication infrastructures must be dismantled if we're to have any semblance of democracy.

The thing about trying to appeal to right wing bigots is that right wing bigots are all stupid idiots who get 100% of their news from propagandists so they will never actually find out that you were trying to appeal to them in the first place

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."

How many of the younger generation realizes that the only reason Trump is currently President is because a decade ago a man named Anthony Weiner (no joke) sent dick pics to an underage girl?

Don't let the bigots set the agenda for the nation. Don't try to meet them halfway, or justify your stance. Don't dignify this as something worth debating. Dismiss them as hateful weirdos whose obsession with this issue automatically disqualifies them from polite company and political leadership.

The best way to depolarize America is to remove fascists from power, seize social media companies from white supremacist oligarchs, and extradite them to the Hague to be accountable for their war crimes and human right violations.

If you just happened to pick this week to start yelling about the importance of academic freedom, I sure hope you did more than watch silently for the past 18 months as the Trump administration assaulted everything from mRNA vaccine research to gender studies to the very idea of having universities.

I found this piece incredibly compelling: media ownership affects content, which affects attitudes and behavior. "Smart" types like journalists are not immune to these effects. Why did Musk buy twitter and make it a worse business? For political influence. Same argument as my new working paper!

The social cost for being a Republican should be exactly the same as the social cost for belonging to the KKK or the Nazi Party. It should carry exactly the same moral judgment and social penalty. It’s the same thing.

Who knows if Harris will be the nominee again, but this type of rhetoric is what is needed. Both for Dem politicians to indicate they are willing to fight AND to prep D voters for the 'norm' breaking changes that MUST occur if we are to undue and reverse the damage Trump and the GOP has done.

Constitutional crises by their very nature don't always have constitutional solutions; however that doesn't mean solutions don't exist or that such extra-constitutional solutions shouldn't be sought.

The weird thing about this whole situation is Beshear keeps pushing it (despite as many have pointed out there isn't much upside for Ds or Beshear). Which makes me think Beshear likely has a rather reliable insider that has informed him that McConnell is dead (or at least in something like a coma).

One major example of this is the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. Many defenders of Israel will no longer say the WGU was justified and something to be honored and celebrated, as doing so causes major issues for their defense of Israel's recent actions. Which is both a shame and very telling.

Will keep ignoring that a good amount of the movement on this chart is due to the MI survey changing data collection methods. Where they went to fully online data collection/survey compared to a mixed data collection set prior. Further online surveys have known issues past that

centrist zionist commenters and pols talk about left victories as if they're illegitimate or some sort of sneaky takeover of the party. but for D primary voters, touting connections to Israel sounds like touting connections to trump at this point. it's a betrayal.

A key part of Lindsey Graham's legacy: when he called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/12/u...
"Mr. Raffensperger later said that Mr. Graham had suggested rejecting all mail-in votes from counties with high rates of questionable signatures. Mr. Graham, who at the time was chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said that he was acting in his official capacity as a senator."

I cannot understand people who defend the Biden era to this extent. At least with Obama you can somewhat understand it. But nothing that actually affects the daily lives of Americans from the Biden era remains. And if it can be overturned so easily without anyone knowing, was it a legacy at all?

Come on Will. I know you know that Impeachment isn't a criminal punishment nor is it even a criminal process. Impeachment is ONLY about holding a federal job - that's it. So no it wasn't the only remedy and job removal alone was grossly insufficient for a crime as grave as J6.

After Slaughter today you don't have to do much stretching to say it also applies to the judiciary and SCOTUS (especially in a world where SCOTUS constantly makes stuff up and disregards the clear language of the Constitution), so disagree that a President has no authority to simply remove justices.

Why? Why does one underlying cause have to be consistent over the entire time period of the 'vibecession'? I don't see much to justify such a sweeping assumption. What evidence do we have that the 'vibecession' itself is even one consistent event?
