Leaning into the season, I checked out the Halloween episode of the 80s PAC-MAN cartoon...and essentially the show's conceit doesn't deviate too far from the game. Pac-Man eats pellets so he can chomp ghosts. When put into a narrative, it's startling, really: Take pills so you can consume the dead.
