Today was another good day for a walk or two around the nearby park, with pleasant wildlife including swans, ducks, geese and smaller avian friends. And squirrels. So many squirrels.

In Hereford Cathedral, which is heaving. The nave is closed off for a few hours for an event, so the Saturday tourists are piling in the open bits. Thankfully there's enough nooks and crannies to get respite from the masses.

Pubs and restaurants should offer a slab of cheese as an alternative to steaks and chops. I should be able to order cheese and chips, with peas, and get options for how much cheese I want. On most days 250g of Shropshire Blue would make me very happy.

(2/2) Remembering Ye Olde Days of ... just a few years ago ... when you'd go to the central Post Office in Pinfold Street, get a number, get quickly called to one of many windows, have a simple transaction, done. All that is gone, and it's now a grim and dumb experience in WH Smiths or whatever.
