Alito's argument – that counting ballots after Election Day means "the electorate’s choice does not occur on election day, and the federal election-day statutes are violated" – is some of the dumbest reasoning I have ever seen. The "choice" doesn't occur at the time of counting!

Related side-note the expectation that poetry is offered online for free... what does it say about the way we currently see the art of poetry, that I can use the word "consume" throughout this thread, and mean it. People expect poetry to be free, and consume it like content, and it's so very sad.

Yep. The value of corporations rolling out the rainbow carpet isn't what's in their heart of hearts, it's the society-wide signaling of "acceptance is good, bigotry is bad." Even if entirely insincere, it tells society "we think the majority of our customers expect this," and that's good!
