This isn't my giraffe, in fact it isn't anybody's. It's what's currently popular on Instagram, a 'making project', done by AI. A knife (upside down) cuts right through the drawing, ears get stuck over the eyes . . . then attached to its arse, finally, it's 10 times the size. 🙄 #edusky
An AI generated art project showing the 'making of a cardboard giraffe' . . . except there are lots of strange errors, which apparently, no-one has noticed?

I'm not admitting I'm ridiculously suggestible but I was reading the FT magazine article on Napa Valley on the train home and the first thing I did on getting in was open a bottle of wine

Joke's on me. I thought the War On Cars was a real and much-needed redressing of the balance. Never imagined it was a faked up excuse for drivers to flatten pedestrians online as well as on the roads

Being an adult is generally so short on the 'being able to do whatever I choose' I imagined as a child but occasionally you hear something that revives that hope. My friend just bought himself a forklift truck* and the small me who loved her yellow Tonka digger with her whole heart is SO EXCITED**

🧵 Matt Goodwin demanded to be fact-checked live on air when he claimed the UK spent "£100 million PER YEAR on family planning and condoms in Pakistan". He then 'corrected' himself to £74.3 million, saying it was based on a "major news story from October 2025" He was, of course, still wrong... 1/30
Screenshot of LBC tweet:

How much has the UK actually spent on condoms in Pakistan?

Henry Riley is sceptical about Matt Goodwin's numbers so the reform politician calls himself to be fact-checked live on air.

I'm also pretty good at mentally cutting out the bits that spoil my enjoyment, so I can usually ignore a sucky ending. What casts retrospective disappointment for me is when desperate grasping for new plots entails a character getting a total personality transplant to make it work

Ballpoint pen and colored pencil.

At the top of the piece we see the delicately drawn branches and leaves of an apple tree. Just beneath the tree limbs, a bat is flying with one of the green apples in its mouth. This is when the morphing begins, reader. A sequence of 13 drawings show the bat morphing into a teeny witch (with completion of the morph around drawing #9). The morphing creates a spiral leading us to the center of the page where the little witch is running towards her basket filled with apples. It’s likely she’ll re-morph into a bat again and the morphing pattern will continue.

It's appalling. Not sure if I remember correctly but I think the coastline *was* ours (assets put in public ownership after bailing out royal debt, which was when the annual stipend started) but given back to the crown after Charles's lobbying in those infamous 'black spider letters'. Timely, huh?

Agree need to rein in the data centre rush but it's not only rural communities that need protecting, they're unsuitable for cities too, hoovering up resources better used elsewhere and making even *more* neighbours miserable in urban areas. As an extractive industry, should be treated like mines
