Worth remembering that it’s far more agreeable to ridicule Farage than to ridicule those 22k who voted for him. Whether you decry, pity or mock those 22k voters, remember that it won’t remove Farage. Time for UK politicians to offer those 22k voters a credible alternative that truly resonates.

Interesting list of Ministerial appointments by new UK PM. Starmerites recycled though some leading lights sidelined. Absence of anyone from the left. Cabinet may remain an echo chamber, as under Starmer, which led to many poor policy choices. Rebellions may be the only way of getting heard.

My hot take: #Farage expects to lose. It will galvanise his position that it’s an establishment stitch-up, and permit him to exit quietly with the standards investigation being unable to conclude. He will then have a sense of plausible deniability re any wrongdoing.
