For Power and other Rune Attributes, the scale is different. PCs have 2-3 rune affinities which can range for starting characters from 2/d4 to 5/d10, but rolling them directly is rarerthan for abilities. Paths (cults, etc.) also let you "borrow" rune affinities up to your rank (also an attribute).

a 3/d6 is a "slightly above average for humans" score for physical ability attributes, and a 2/d4 is "slightly below average." Abilities are assigned based on one of several arrays you can choose from, or you can roll to have one chosen and then assign each to a specific ability based on background.

When dealing with rolling for the opposing rune of an affinity, the Power die is dropped one size. Normally, starting PCs have a Power of 2a/d3, which would drop it to rolling a d2 for that rune check. Since the other die you usually roll is a d6 and TNs are 7+... well. 1d2+1d6 isn't good odds!

Unlike RQG, PCs and other characters only have two to three Runes specifically pointed out as their affinities on their stats, rather than a full list of elements and powers. "Power" as an attribute in this system is the catchall for all the runes they have non-affinity with.

(step die Glorantha fangame devpost) It's nowhere near a new part of the game's design sketch and Excel shouldn't be relied on for layout, but I couldn't help but also lay out a player character's ability attributes in a way similar to Zzabur's sigil as how the RQG character sheet does for elements.

Five grouped items that include a name, an icon (a "Rune"), and a box to pencil in a PC's fixed and die attribute values are arranged around a sixth in a pentagonal shape. The icons are all depreciated runes from prior Glorantha systems or editions, except for the Power rune, the Issaries rune for Charm, and the Deftness rune (made up as a placeholder for this by me). Clockwise from top: "Senses" (HQG perception, depreciated), "Will" (HQG? Otherworld, depreciated), Deftness (my creation), Charm (Issaries rune), Might (Umath/Strength rune, depreciated), with Power (core rune) in the center.

Agreed, therapy is good, but it doesn’t actually translate into progress on transitioning. I spent too long spinning my wheels with therapists and support groups, but what actually, really helped was starting HRT and letting my body change enough to feel comfortable expressing gender differently

Not any of the fanmade ones, no. I studied RQ2E extensively and RQG takes far too few steps forwards to modernize or streamline the design, Heroquest is too freeform in its systems for my tastes and is unsupported, and I’ve played 13A and have no patience for more d20 in my life
