The Israel FA will also appeal both yellow cards awarded to Saied Abu Farchi during Thursday's defeat to Austria. Farchi was given a second yellow after he celebrated scoring an equaliser by uprooting the corner flag, an action interpreted by officials as mimicking the firing of a rifle.

Israel dispute this interpretation. “Anyone familiar with him knows it was an imitation of a snooker player, like the legendary Ken Doherty," their spokesperson said.

Went out for beers with some old mates I haven’t seen in years. Last time I really spoke to one lad he had two little girls, one a baby and one a toddler. Now he has a 20 year old son and a 18 year old daughter. He showed me a photo of two healthy and happy young people. So it goes.

The Premier League has been about money and nothing else for years. The big clubs outspending the smaller clubs, everyone happy as long as the money kept flowing in. Man City’s owners wanted a piece of the action just like Abramovitch. They proved money buys success more than anything else.
