Disability is not a moral failing. Being homeless is not a moral failing. Capitalism and ableism set us up to fail. They reduce us to nothing more than cogs in a machine. The truth is most people are closer to becoming disabled or homeless than they can imagine. It can happen to anyone.

There’s a difference between anxiety and preparedness. There’s a difference between health stress and adaptation. Taking proactive steps to avoid repeat Covid infections is a strength. It’s something to be applauded, not psychologized. Constant reinfections are not sustainable. Mask up.

Disabled people aren’t “less than”. It’s not a moral failing. Most people will experience disability at some point. It’s a minority group you can join at any time. We need more accessibility, inclusion, accommodation and compassion. There’s no social justice without disability justice.
