What this can't convey is how the book will be haunted by itself. Very few images will be what they first appear. Backgrounds of photos should be scrutinized. Turning a page may be fraught for the reader. Hidden QR codes the reader will have to find lead to bits of terrifying video, audio, or text.

I dk wtf is going on and dk how anyone keeps up. All I see on BSky are political conversations and I have no idea what they’re about unless I do a rabbit hole. Do you have special brain implants or am I just stupid, losing brain capacity, while you’re all maintaining goodstrong brains? Thank you!

The Horses of Disaster plunge in the heavy clay: Beloved, let your eyes half close, and your heart beat Over my heart, and your hair fall over my breast, Drowning love's lonely hour in deep twilight of rest, And hiding their tossing manes and their tumultuous feet.

Hello. Thank you for your email. My brain is tired and almost dead. I’m trying my best to keep it alive. At present, it is an onyx, metallic substance, swelling and swirling in a tin can, stuck in a mesophase between liquid and gas.

We wanted to understand how Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey differs from the Homer original. So we talked to three unvaccinated crypto investors at a Five Guys in Toms River.

Three hours is an incredibly long movie. I mostly dislike Christopher Nolan. I have neutral feelings on The Odyssey as a narrative but I enjoy monsters and special effects that make me vicariously afraid for my life. Should I go?

Trump just shrunk Bears Ears by 91% and Grand Staircase-Escalante by 90%. Bears Ears was the first national monument co-managed by tribes. Five tribes spent years building that partnership. It's been walked back. 100,000+ archeological sites now exposed to mining and drilling.

once again do not watch the Netflix documentary. this time the one on Costa Concordia. they are terrible documentaries now. they now cannot edit a documentary ethically to save their life. watch any other documentary or just read about this shipwreck if you have curiosity. 🤷‍♀️

oh a chase of… 90 secs? I’ve lived in LA and other major metro areas where serious “pursuit” means news helicopters are following you for like… hours. I feel ill. Ask the one who didn’t fire why he didn’t under lie detector tech, presumed or real, and he will admit there was no danger.

Listen. I spent more than a decade as a theatrical technician, rigging stages, hanging lights, flying scenery, etc. The number of times I have dropped anything on a stage with performers on it is zero. The number of times I’ve dropped something that might’ve killed someone is zero. This is major.

Happy 100th, Mel Brooks.

The Woman yelling at a cat meme, but the woman is now Gene Wilder's Dr Frankenstein ("Fronkensteen!"), his friend is Terri Garr's Inga, and the cat is now Igor ("Eye-gor!"), who is sitting behind the table with a big smile on his face. The table in front of him is taken up by a large glass jar with a brain in it. The label on the jar reads: "DO NOT USE THIS BRAIN! ABNORMAL". For the sake of argument, the massive hand resting on the chair behind him belongs to Peter Boyle's Monster. Although Mel Brooks does not personally appear in this image, it would not exist without him.

Do not watch Maternal Instinct. Just look up the story and read a summary if you want to know, and watch with caution and the knowledge in hand. This is the last time I watch a Netflix doc without knowing the whole story first.

There is a problem with the stories we tell & the way we perceive how change happens. The Union of Pinnacle Tenants, the largest tenant-led union in NYC—are the reason Mamdani took action. Organized people power is pivotal. Top down stories of elected heroes (even ones we like) are not sufficient.

Condolences to the faculty and students being asked to come up with individual solutions to the structural problem of admin having outsourced higher ed to for-profit, PE-owned third-party tech companies

Faculty: While Canvas is operational, out of an abundance of caution, you may wish to consider identifying alternate options for any exams, final assessments, assignments, or other Spring semester coursework that are dependent on Canvas should that status change.
Students: Please continue to monitor your email for messages from your instructors about exam and coursework submission instructions.

Matt Walsh @MattWalshBlog

A weird thing is that whenever I post criticism of Al, the majority of the people agreeing with me seem to be leftists. It's pretty much the only position I hold that seems to be more popular with the left than the right. It should be the opposite. My whole point about Al (especially Al in creative fields) is that it isn't human, it doesn't have a soul, and we cannot surrender our society to an unhuman soulless algorithm even if it makes our lives easier in some ways. It's very strange that an argument predicated on the existence of the soul resonates with the left while conservatives tend to scoff at it.
