I could definitely see that being a factor, but I'm also curious about the geographical splits. I listen to some pop radio in Baltimore/DC and I don't hear the song, but I'd expect that in Texas it's utterly inescapable for obvious reasons

When I was a kid, I learned that the Philadelphia Phillies had a minor league team called the Reading Phillies. However, I didn't know the town was pronounced redding and not reeding, so I though they were a minor league baseball team that also went around to schools teaching kids to read
