Well it's like I always say to the kids: is it even a sport if you don't bleed a little?
Horribly bloodied rag.

"As the royalties accrued are under 100 GBP," writes a thoughtful publisher, "we’d like to carry the payment forward to the next half-year." Yes, I bet you fucking would. JFC what a racket.

Such a sad and shameful day for the Greens. By no means the main point when the motion is such a disgrace, but it’s really harmful to environmental action when the Party that has for so long been one of the main advocates for tackling the climate and nature crisis is hijacked in this way.

I'm old enough to remember when the Greens were disdained as a single-issue party but it was a different single issue.

Google Photos used to say Happy Memories! or Remember This Day? and now it says 2023 Lore because software has to have a personality now and the personality it has to have is "a cunt".

Incredibly proud of my youngest brother who exemplifies what people living with disabilities can accomplish with appropriate support. He’s been very lucky and I wish we could make sure all people got what they need to flourish. Here he is talking about his hobby as a DJ

The nurdles on our Tyneside coast are back with a vengeance today, both depressing in and of itself but also a clear indication of what will happen periodically over the coming months and years and tides and winds bring some of the many millions of plastic pellets still swirling around in our seas.
Thousands of white nurdles (plastic pellets) strewn across Whitley Bay beach, amidst seaweed and sand. This, I say to the kids, as we drive home through the drizzle and falling leaves, has always been one of my favourite things: in a car on an autumn afternoon, warm and tired after a busy day, football scores on the radio, evening closing in. Well that's WEIRDLY SPECIFIC, says my daughter.
