With summer feeling like a distant memory, we’re excited to start rehearsing for our upcoming concert on 7th November and to welcome our NEW conductor, @patrickallies.bsky.social.
Patrick Allies wearing a dark jacket and an open necked white shirt stands on a sandy path with the green of trees in the background and looks directly at the camera. Is he smiling? Possibly.

If you’re wondering why UK press has suddenly woken up to Farage, please read this. It’s because: Brexit. The r/w press refused to scrutinise the money behind Farage & the lawsuit against me scared off the rest. But this isn’t a new scandal. It’s the same one I’ve been reporting on for a decade

I did a schools show of classical song in Brighton some years ago. One audience of kids were particularly engaged and up for it. Their headteacher told us that it was the first time in a theatre for most of them, first time off their estate for some. Nearby and accessible are two distinct things.

Here’s a short poem about the power of poetry to change the world.
The Power of Poetry

with things falling apart
and anarchy let loose,

it was only poetry, he found,
which had any use,

so he reached for his copy
of The Complete Works of Yeats

and bludgeoned the President
of the United States
