Here’s a rare beauty for #mushroommonday, the stunning Crimson Bolete, Chalciporus rubinus. It has gorgeous carmine red, decurrent pores & red upper stem which gives it a very striking appearance. Very rare & classed as vulnerable on the ICUN red list, I left it undisturbed ❤️ #FungiFriends 🍄 📸

A final postcard from the field as our Autumn Exotica in Andalusia tour draws to a close. It's been a super week, with all the anticipated butterfly colonists of Spain in recent decades seen. The star of the show however was an unanticipated, and extensive, African Babul Blue colony.
