Besides Childline (obvs), that clip of Esther Rantzen getting arrested for obstruction is my favourite thing of hers. The way she rather sardonically responds in that slightly posh put upon way is hilarious. Especially sticking her head out the window. Pernod, ouzo, marmalade and salt all round!

I've sometimes wondered how good really high end hi-fi sounds. (These speakers cost nearly £56,000 a pair). Of course the only way to tell is to experience them in person. A YouTube video on my cheap Nokia phone isn't going to tell me much. youtu.be/dLm7kH3BXSI?...

The database they use in the show is here. If you search for ‘British slave traders website’ or ‘register of British slave traders’, you might find yourself on the History Reclaimed website, which opposes ‘woke’ history…

Surely it is time for the authorities to take this Fairford terrorism case out of the hands of the police & pass it over to Nigel Farage, Richard Tice & Isabel Oakeshott etc. These people have the expertise & skills to have this all solved & explained to the public by tonight.👍

I walked past my local cash monkey today. The door was open and a man was trying out a squier Strat hopelessly out of tune. I'd be mortified if anyone heard me doing that and you can get free and very good tuner apps on your phone.

ESP THE ALFEE Signature Angel Classic Junior

I've posted a few guitars that ESP made for The Alfee's guitarist Toshihiko Takamizawa (Takamiy), and here's another one. This one is the most normal of the bunch, which is saying something.

The ESP THE ALFEE Signature Angel Classic Junior has a shape that's inspired by a Les Paul, but has went through some rather creative surgery. It's got an asymmetrical waistline, and the cutaway horn has been moved all the way back to where your leg would rest if you played this sitting down. The body also has The Alfee inlaid on it, as well as one of Takamiy's other angel-inspired guitars, making this the only instance I can think of where a guitar's inlaid onto a totally different one.

This guitar's got two humbuckers, and they're controlled by a volume knob and a 3-way switch. It's also got a Floyd Rose trem. The neck has angel inlays and is topped by a curly 4/2 headstock. (Ignore the black things on either side of the headstock; those are from a guitar stand.)

It’s the 51st anniversary of the first day of the unlikely-sounding Spaghetti House Siege, when three armed robbers went into the Knightsbridge branch of an Italian restaurant chain, staff hid the money from them under a table, police surrounded the building, and they were stuck in there five days

There is something so cool about getting just one cat when you have no other pets and slowly watching that scared cat realize they're the only non-human in the house. Everything is theirs. Everything belongs to them. They can sleep in the middle of the floor belly up. Life is good and safe. 🥰
