MY FRIEND DAHMER is frequently on banned lists. Surprisingly, KENT STATE hasn't been, even though it's much more political. We'll see how it unfolds for THE DISSIDENTS, which, topically, seems ripe to be targeted. Book banners can all F off to hell, of course. They're traitors to America IMO.

I'll not be pretending. Pre-Lloyd Webber, stage musicals were mostly plays with a bunch of actual songs thrown in. Post-ALW they became middlebrow pseudo-opera, with none of the humour and tunes of eg Gilbert & Sullivan light opera, and none of the artistic merit of the hard stuff.

I figured out what happened: all the lesswrong space cadets doing their bayesian math on RSI and ASI and so on had the signs flipped. what happens is that as soon as AI exists EVERYTHING ELSE gets STUPIDER at an accelerating rate. Easy mistake to make.

You need to be consuming both written narratives AND visual narratives that aren't just comics. Please. I think both of these are uniquely important. I do think it's also vital to read other comics but that can't be all you consume. You need to ACTIVELY watch other mediums for your full potential!!

LRT if you are making comics then I think it is imperative that you read (any genre, fiction non fiction, etc) and nothing can replace this, but I also think it's important to watch things outside your genre. Play games you wouldn't otherwise. Watch old/overseas movies, documentaries, TV shows, etc
