I pray this is accurate, but I've learned never to underestimate the stupidity of Ohio voters. I say this with confidence: there is NO WAY rural MAGAland crackers will vote for a brown guy with a funny name. They'll vote for the Libertarian on the ballot, or (Best case scenario!) not vote at all.

Came away with almost nothing from Baltimore Comic Con (I’m not paying dealer prices), but I did find this gem. A 1977 issue of Cleveland Scene with the Star Wars premiere! Scene was a free weekly rag, one that became MY home base 25 years later! How it wound up here, who knows. Fun read.

An epic dinner at Baltimore Comic Con. At a great Italian joint with L-R: my editor Charlie Kochman, Your Man, Howard Chaykin, David Armstrong, Desiree (our handler), Klaus Jansen, Chip Kidd, and Sidney the Service Dog. I grew up reading Howard's and Klaus' work! The conversation was dizzying.

Outside the obvious timebomb of selling out trans kids to appeal to ~16 bigots in deep Ohio, an underplayed part of the whole "trans kids in youth sports" stuff is making the most psycho Little League parents the most important political demo in America.
