Today @NYTimes.com sent out The Morning newsletter with the heading "Trump's Kennedy Center". Reading Sam Sifton used to be a pleasure, but that title was enough to ruin my morning coffee and I just unsubscribed. Every time I give NYT the benefit of the doubt they reveal how they haven't earned it.

Here's a neat thing! My mom retired after 25+ as a children's librarian at public libraries yesterday. (It was very cool! Hundreds of former Story Hour kids arrived, some as adults!) I let Ed Markey's office know in case they wanted to send a nice email back and they sent this! He's still got it!

A visit to the local bookstore is such fun. I love that the shelves are full of things to be discovered, the staff is always helpful and often enthusiastic about my selections, and my adventure lasts until the covers are closed and a new one starts for whomever I give it to next.
