I just finished #TheOrphanMastersSon. It may be the best book I’ve read all year. It reminded me of a film by #ParkChanWook: violent, absurd, funny, sad, with characters that are both larger than life yet feel so real. A treatise on the power of stories, set in a fictional North Korea.
The cover of The Orphan Master’s Son by Adam Johnson shows the title in black on a white background, with an orange image of a tiger superimposed.
