I recently discovered that Amazon now lets authors distribute ebooks to libraries and still keep the title in KDP, and now all my m/m books are available in Overdrive and Hoopla (and also various print retailers).

For anyone in the US (and maybe Canada as well? Please let me know if so!), Wooing the Witch Queen is on sale for $2.99 on Amazon, Kobo, and B&N for 7 days, starting today: www.amazon.com/Wooing-Witch... www.kobo.com/us/en/search... www.barnesandnoble.com/w/wooing-the... Enjoy! :) #romancelandia
An image of the North American front cover of Wooing the Witch Queen shows a sinister witch queen in a spectacular beaded dress embracing her handsome and adoring new librarian (in a black wizard's robe) inside a library of magic filled with crows and masks and flying books. The tagline reads: Love can be a witch. A blurb from Sarah Beth Durst (New York Times bestselling author of The Spellshop) reads: “Full of charm, wit, and magic… I loved it!”
Around the image, against a starry night background, are various pieces of text connected to it by arrows. They read: “bi villainous heroine,” “sweet cinnamon-roll hero with a fake identity,” “crow friends,” “found family,” and “flirting with fountains pens.” At the bottom of the image are the words: On sale for $2.99!

Drumroll please... I am very pleased to share the cover of ALL OF US MURDERERS, coming Oct 2025 from @sourcebooks.bsky.social @poisonedpen.bsky.social, with utterly stunning cover art by Marcela Bolívar @tropicalgloom.bsky.social!
A cover for All of Us Murderers by KJ Charles. In full 1970s Gothic style, down to the curly 70s font in yellow and the blue/green colour palette. It shows a scary house on the moors with looming turrets and evil lighting, and two men running from it. The front one is extremely dishevelled with messy hair and skew-wiff tie. The back one is ginger, neater. Both clearly afraid. the tagline is 'Love. Hate. Secrets. It's in the blood.'

I actually prefer “we’ve had” in this case, exactly because it is less dramatic. Lovell was a guy who did not panic, and “we’ve had a problem” is an almost comically calm way to describe what was happening. Less dramatic, but there’s a reason he said it as he did.

'Dandelions,' was painted by the Danish artist Bertha Wegmann around 1910. It wasn't an arbitrary choice of a plant to paint: the dandelion was used to promote the women’s liberation movement in Scandinavia because of its capacity for uncontrolled, strong-willed growth.

An LLM chatbot's literal entire job— what it is designed, built, & trained to do— is to respond to you using words which, in tone & connotation, you are statistically most likely to accept, based on what you've said to it & how you said it. It's just stats & bullshit. (Original image w/ alt text)

Even chatbots get the blues. According to a new study, OpenAl's artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT shows signs of anxiety when its users share “traumatic narratives” about crime, war or car accidents. And when chatbots get stressed out, they are less likely to be useful in therapeutic settings with people.

The bot's anxiety levels can be brought down, however, with the same mindfulness exercises that have been shown to work on humans.

Did #ShowMeYourKnits say it's lace week? My speciality! 🧶 All patterns by Herbert Niebling.
A round black hoop with royal blue lace knitting suspended within. There are sprigs if leaves falling towards the centre and looped shells around the edge.

Pattern is Waldesruh, knitted in approx size 10 cotton.A close up of the very edge of a lace shawl, pinned to an orange blocking mat. A flower like lace cresent with i-cord loops is in the centre. The colours are pastel, with neon rainbow pops, the loops round the very edge are mauve with spaced rainbows.

Pattern was mashed together from several in order to use up all the yarn from an advent calendar. (Yarn dyer sells jkr merch so I won't list them)A fine knitted round lace doily pinned to a lime green mat. The background is yellow with six flowers radiating from the centre. The stems and leaves are two shades of green. There are three different pinks in the petals, two flowers of each. The petal are each hearts coming out of the green stem, joining the next petal at the lobes. The edge is made of dark and light blue and orange. It doesn't fit the design well, and the three large holes in it look like gaping faces.

Pattern is Hertzblume, and used intarsia to highlight the different sections. While you can't see them, there are hundreds of ends tucked behind the knitting.A folded up white doily is pictured, against a red and purple blanket. The knitting is a hex mesh background with a single large flower in it. The flower has rwo leaves and a long stem, with six petals, remeniscent of a peacock tail. The edging is all crumpled, but shows sprigs if leaves and a looped edging.

Pattern is Otto, worked in size 10 Anchor Aida. The cordonnet spin of this thread made it a joy to work with and a real shame that it has been discontinued.
