#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 socks? Not my favorite, but I've knit a few pair, always a single color, often with texture. Or very basic tube socks for DH. Socks for me are generally "bed socks", not intended for wearing in shoes. Mad props to anyone doing SockMadness!!

#ShowMeYourKnits wants WIPs and it is #WIPWednesday? This finally happened today - second sleeve cap complete, w/ correct number of stitches & rows to match first sleeve. Sweater started 09/2025, has several pattern mods. Colourmart cashmere 🧶 will bloom & change gauge when washed; deets in Alt.

Against a light background, a sweater with light aqua, teal and cobalt stripes in horseshoe lace separated by narrow bands of dark navy stockinette. Sleeve being knit in the round and short rows of sleeve cap just completed and underarm stitches added to the row. Purple stitch marker at shoulder seam, orange stitch marker at end of first / top row of sleeve cap and teal stitch marker where sleeve cap meets underarm stitches.

Pattern is Myrtle by Kate Davies Designs
Yarn is ColourMart Cashmere 3/28NM Heavy Lace Weight

By my calculations, this cashmere laceweight sweater has >53K stitches up to the armholes. Currently unmotivated to #knit more in it, but want the sweater. Am petting the swatch every few rows, gorgeous yarn 🧶. Still unmotivated even tho cold weather has arrived. Startitis lurks. . .

I was disappointed when I got this yarn from a fellow Raveler; the colorway is Winesteeple and their photo showed definitely purple, but IRL it only looked brown or black to me. Like taking pictures of the northern lights with your cell phone, the photos reveal colors not visible to the naked eye.
