Osman Faruqi and his podcast has popped up on my algorithm this week, suggesting various negative things about the leadership changes at the Australian Greens. Not mentioned in the excerpts that popped up - the fact his mother was one of the defeated candidates.

Good on Freo for calling out the putrid masculinity adored by that shit cartoonist and asking he maybe should do better work. He’s a fuckwit for complaining about it.

You’re right—that plane shouldn’t have gone there. That’s my fault, and I should have made sure there wasn’t a terminal in the landing path. Would you like me to call emergency services, or assist with lining up takeoffs?

REALLY interesting to see how some Liberal supporters post differently on Blue Sky and Twitter. There’s one poster in particular who pretends on this to be neutral, but on X, it’s pretty obvious Liberal support. The hypocrisy, it sizzles. She would deny it, of course.

Willingham and his mates from the tiny Victorian political media claque might actually give him a proper go. Not likely though.

I heard more about Jacinta Allan and learned more about her today than I did throughout her whole term as Premier. I don't know if Vic Labor or the media are to blame for the way she was framed as leader, but she sounds like a gutsy fighter to me. Came across as a bland machine person before.

What these pieces from Victorian universities continue to show is that there's a lack of perspective - they are written from such a narrow lens in this state. What this one lacks is the notion that female leaders never get a fair run from media outlets or the public. Just look at the history.

I don’t agree with Tomalaris here. The cooking segment gets stale unless you change the presenters - Brahimi was good, but got repetitive in the end. Also, the commentators do talk about the culture and buildings. I think this post is a bit small minded and petty.

I have been catching up with Race Around the World. The second episode annoyed me because Bruce Beresford is such a boomer hypocrite. Went full puritan in response to Froomes' funny film about Jamaican men. It was him who directed Don's Party, wasn't it?

Fascinating to me when we have progressive Americans with a big social media profile that is as anti-Trump has can be, but not on the issue of him intervening. Shows precisely what is wrong with so many Americans. Very little self awareness of their delusions about America.
