Every time I try to think “why did this or that socialist project fail” the answer is usually something capitalist have done or do all the time and survive. So it feels like an insufficient answer. Capitalists are more powerful and better at centralizing power and deploying it without mercy.

Access to puberty blockers is so fundamental to improving quality of life for trans youth and NHS England made the choice to abandon them. They know the awful impact lack of care has on trans youth, ignore trans voices, and still prioritise placating transphobes. Just an evil decision
