Getting daily updates from the Royal Mail about a package someone sent me two weeks ago using 48-hour tracked delivery. So far it's seen more of the UK than I have. It was right by my parents' house this morning; they could have left it there and I'd have gone and picked it up.

I've done a lot of computerised automation of tasks for my job, and the driver behind a lot of it is my laziness. I see a process with unnecessary steps and I think "You don't need to do this. Let me take that task away from you." (Or 'away from me' a lot of the time.)
