FF11 Blue Mage is neat because you'll think it's a 20 minute adventure and then spend 4 hours and gain 2 levels trying to learn one spell setting spells to gain traits with limited points like it's monster hunter skills while also trying to keep relevant usable spells is a really neat idea too

the thing I'm learning through playing Xenogears and Xenosaga is that the first Xenoblade is when they were actually able to finish a game properly I always thought of it as a strange fluke compared to X and 2 that it was So Good but now I know X is more in line with what the series was before

I've been thinking of GBA games recently, and I forgot companies used to just make games. You put the cartridge in the Gameboy and it plays a game. There's no updating. No accounts. It just boots into the game. And it's a complete game too, with a beginning, middle, and end.

as usual my opinion on the OoT remake is that they coulda spent all this time and effort making something new instead of turning a beloved classic into weird wet plastic. like if this were an original game I'd say "yeah the art is a little weird I guess" but this is something they've already remade
