I'm like 30 hours in and haven't really touched dlc stuff outside of Hard Mode and a couple of the trials. they keep cucking me with godsbane doors even in the already open ones so I think they want me to come back later. prep before tackling the dlc for reals I think. just hitting battahl again now

25 deaths later and I'm finally at Vermund. every fight is a boss fight and if there's more than 3 goblins in the pack I have to get real creative and careful. I loved the combat of this game already but the changes to enemy HP and stagger actually makes the world feel dangerous again

yeah interim save is just a manual save. I used it a few times for unlocking Warfarer early just to get the dang griffin's AI to line up right and not having to run all the way from the inn was nice

the multiple save slots thing is just like separate characters and you can just ignore the eternal ferrystone. I thought you could put it in storage but it's fucked up that it's literally there staring you in the face forever hard mode is just boosted enemy stats and 2x xp like it was in 1

personally I never felt like fast travel was ever really a problem cuz by the end of the game I had hundreds of ferrystones. almost every problem people complained about was entirely because they refused to engage with the game's systems and actually like... play it.

I only played Dark Arisen but I still feel like a lot of the base game is gonna be mostly the same for 2. there's a lot of little tweaks and changes but I doubt it'll be life changing which will only make it funnier when people praise it after hating on it so much before

when they said the Eternal Ferrystone is from a quest I thought like oh an optional late game one but nah they just fucking hand it to you in baby's first questline after you talk to brandt in vernworth. completely invalidating fast travel as a mechanic that you'd ever need to think or worry about

much like Dragon Quest, the first Rance game felt very indie probably because it was made by like 3 people and influenced a lot of games in a pretty similar way. really fascinating as a piece of history
