To anyone who wondered, what could go wrong if we elected as president a highly volatile, deeply dishonest, simple-minded cretin with a revenge fetish, the answer is THIS. All of THIS.

Good day to remember that a US President has no inherent power over tariffs whatsoever. It’s not like war powers or pardons. It’s entirely delegated by Congress to deal with emergencies. GOP Congress cld modify that law tonight and bring this to a screeching halt.

Democrats, this weekend is D-Day. You must go out tomorrow, take up as much space in media as possible, get in front of cameras, shout at the top of your lungs. None of this "egg prices!" stuff either. The narrative has to be "Trump and Musk are seizing the government and pursuing retribution."

Trump fires at least 12 independent inspectors general in late-night purge The dismissals could clear the way for the president to install loyalists in the crucial role of identifying fraud, waste and abuse in the government.
Yesterday at 11:08 p.m. ESTBy David Nakamura and Lisa Rein
The White House late Friday fired the independent inspectors general of at least 12 major federal agencies in a purge that could clear the way for President Donald Trump to install loyalists in the crucial role of identifying fraud, waste and abuse in the
government.
The inspectors general were notified by emails from the White House personnel director that they had been terminated immediately, according to people familiar with the situation, who like others in this report spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the private messages. The dismissals appeared to violate federal law, which requires Congress to receive 30 days' notice of any intent to fire the inspectors
