But also they did Nictorus super dirty by having her come back after her tragic self-sacrifice, only to get shuffled off stage super fast. I have no problem with Dantes leaving the stage - He played his part & it was time for his big anti-heroic sacrifice. That part was great.

Feels very much like a direct meta snub by the developers because JAlter's popularity bugged them somehow. Fate in general is not gentle with its characters, but this felt even more crass than usual. It could have been a genuine send-off curbstomped by executive meddling but felt mean spirited.

Don't get me wrong, Xu Fu is *AMAZING* & I'm always happy when she's on screen, because she is such a fucking disaster wobbling between comedic pathos and legitimate threat, but JAlter was kinda the proof of the protagonist's thesis - That conflict isn't 0 sum & we can build a better world.

I don't actually think that's specific to this one meme, but I think the relationship modern right wing men have to, say, OnlyFans, is a little underdiscussed. They clearly hate it, but enough people seem to find them an audience worth farming that I have to assume they also engage with it.

Two addendums: first, the majority of the art just depicts Malfoid and Harry, but occasionally Hermione will show up. Less so Ron. Rarely Snape, in sort of a father figure role. Conspicuously absent in *any* capacity are Crabbe and Goyle, despite there being naively obvious ways to incorporate them

Its very much a product of mid-century continental philosophy, in ways that are useful and...at times less useful. A lot of Deleuze and Guattari, which means that while its very critical of classic psychoanalysis its still operating in a psychoanalytic mode. *Lots* of symbol analysis.

Okay so Male Fantasies is a 1977 book written by Klaus Theweleit, a sociologist who grew up in post-war Germany grappling with the male culture of his parents and grandparents, essentially, and how it led to the Freikorps and eventually the Nazis.
