I see people online talking about pitching comics and breaking in. Some things I think a lot of creators don’t quite get is that publishers don’t want unsolicited pitches. Ever. There’s no “wowing” an editor like this. It’s a legal nightmare! Unsolicited pitches usually go right in the trash. 1/3

One thing about "breaking into comics" that I think a lot of creators need to process is that unless you mean is "I want to be so famous I never need to look for a gig and/or have full autonomy to do whatever I want and be paid for it" then it's a myth. It's always going to be a freelance hustle.

Billionaires are a parasite. They suck up wealth beyond what any person could fairly earn. They take it from our pockets and then drive up the cost of living for the rest of us, especially with housing and education. Tax them into a more modest state. It's not about money, but morality.
