To be scrupulously fair, Ken Paxton merely *OFFERED* a one-day sentence as a plea deal. The offender, Adam Hoffman, who acknowledged his guilt. He DID end up serving 60 days, but only because a judge ordered it. Paxton WANTED him to serve a single day. www.texastribune.org/2026/05/19/k...

Adam Hoffman was convicted of raping his friend's young son. He should be in jail, but Paxton used his power to get him on a misdemeanor. That means he only served for 60 days, didn't have to register as a sex offender in Texas, and then left the state.
