Trust me, this book is very, very good. You’ll meet Carl, who is one of the most original and intriguing characters I’ve ever encountered.

Autumnal feelings today #Cumbria #Walking
A woodland scene, the trees are slowly losing their leaves. As you look beyond you see a large old house, windows boarded up. Abandoned. Who knows what is inside?

A good internet joke that predates widespread internet use is the Jack Handey Deep Thought where he says “to me, clowns aren’t funny, in fact they’re kind of scary, I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus and a clown killed my dad”

Lake Windermere was looking rather dramatic earlier today #Cumbria #LakeDistrict #England
A jetty on Lake Windermere. A couple of small white boats are tied up, the lake is calm, mountains are visible in the distance, some shrouded in cloud. The sky is an iron grey sea of clouds. You’d imagine Thor to come riding out of them on his chariot any second.

The image is of a four panel comic.
In panel one we see Sarah, the protagonist, lying in bed with the lights out. She says, "Is everyone ready for sleep?"
In panel two we see a brain, heart, and stomach. They say, "Yes!" "Yup!" and "Yep!"
In panel three we see a bladder, squirming. A speech panel says "Bladder?"
In panel four the bladder looks up. It says, weakly, "I don't know".

Dropping my wife off at work this morning I felt something on my ear, stray hair or something I thought until I reached up to brush it off and it crawled. Big spider. Size of a small cat. At least. Sat on the side of my head. I freaked the fuck out.
