OK… re: me and generative AI… My main objection to it is the environmental damage it's doing. The data centres, mainly. The roll out of this technology has undone whatever little progress the world made since 2019 & it is setting us up to blow out any climate target we ever had or will have.

Tram in Trondheim Norway, population 218k. Though Trondheim is 13° further north than Regina SK (pop 226k), it is much warmer. However, it gets considerably more precipitation & much less sunlight. But they'll tell you that Regina is has too few people & too much winter to have trams. #yqrcc
